In the heart of the Ötztal
Summer will be great
The characteristics of Längenfeld are the wide expanse and softness of its surroundings. As a holiday resort, Längenfeld distinguishes itself as a place to relax: to find yourself and recharge your batteries – in nature, in the mountains – in the healing waters of the AQUA DOME.
A total of 150 km hiking trails, 114 km running trails and 80 km on 7 mountain bike trails surround Längenfeld. Churches, chapels and waterfalls invite you to admire and linger, and 17 managed huts invite you to rest. In addition to the horizontal movement, 2 fantastically situated via ferrata routes and 200 routes in the climbing areas around Längenfeld await you.
The Ötztal Premium Card is very popular. Great bus connections through the whole valley, all ascent aids into the mountains, swimming pools and much more are already included in the price! Our partner company, the Ötztaler Fun- and Adventure Park, offers your kids a 4600 m² play area with a splendidly situated sun terrace.
The new Adventure Park Area47 is the discovery for all those who want to experience real adventures during their active holidays – on the water with rafting, canyoning or rafting, in the air with climbing, in the high ropes course or at the boulder cave and on land with motocross in our 66,000 sqm Adventure Park.
Climbing & Mountaineering
In no other valley in Tyrol there are such fantastic climbing areas and via ferratas as close together as in the Ötztal. The Ötztal valley is one of the granite climbing areas in Tyrol and with its almost 600 routes in various climbing gardens the valley offers a rich palette for everyone. This is where Reinhard Schiestl wrote climbing history, opening the first 9’s in Tyrol in the early 80s. Whether family with children or hardmover, in the Ötztal everyone gets his money worth with climbing. To list all the highlights of climbing gardens, via ferratas and outdoor activities here would be beyond the scope. The best thing would be to visit the Ötztal for climbing.
Bathing & Swimming
Wild or quiet – the Ötztal offers its guests everything! From Tyrol’s warmest (and most idyllic) bathing lakes to healing springs deep from the earth to the rapid adrenaline rush on the steepest water slides and water ramps, everything is here and close.
In the outdoor and indoor swimming pools, water rats of all ages are in their wet element on hot and cooler days.
Cycling & Mountainbiking
For mountain bikers and road cyclists, the Ötztal is a fine mixture of nature experiences and sporting highlights. Every year we work on new opportunities for cyclists. The Ötztal is known for its cycling events with cult status. New is e-hiking – the combination of an e-bike tour and a hike.
The world of cyclists is as colourful as many jerseys from the 1980s. All-mountain cyclists, enduro riders, classic mountain bikers, racing cyclists and e-bikers – the times when cyclists were just cyclists are long gone. A valley in the Alps is known for having the right offer for every cyclist: the Ötztal. No matter how you travel on two wheels, the innovative offer comes from that valley, which also sets accents in the event sector with the Ötztal cycle marathon or the well-known “Schnitzeljagd”.
Summer holidays and hiking – this is the peak for holidaymakers in Tyrol! All the more so in the Ötztal valley, which offers everything from easy family round hikes to glacier tours for mountaineers with good physical condition that the alpine altitudes offer for hiking and trekking: Hut and alpine tours, theme trails, lake hikes, high-altitude trails and alpine tours – individually or with a mountain guide. In total, there are around 1,600 kilometres of hiking and mountain trails, routes, climbs and treks. Have fun and enjoy nature at the highlight of Tyrol!

Archaeological Open-air park
Experience an exciting journey through time into the world of “Ötzi – the man from the ice” – his life, living and working in the Neolithic Age, authentic huts, weapons, tools and old breeds of domestic animals. Or experience birds of prey up close at one of the numerous air shows in summer and autumn.
Waterfall "Stuibenfall" in Umhausen
Over a total of 159 metres and two steep steps the “Horlachbach” from Niederthai plunges into the valley, metres high the water flags rise into the sky. These clouds of water dust also give the enormous natural spectacle its name: Stuibenfall.
The water dust delights the visitors with its natural, refreshing effect and also promotes health. The positive effect has also been scientifically proven; one is particularly close to the ‘water dust’ on the ion platform.
